Rustled Sheets
I forgot all about the turbulence...
cool air slowly returning , slipping under the humidity
winds kicked up and rustled sheets
the sun has been staying under the covers just a little longer
but when she rises her beauty streaks through
bright orange blades across the vapor free skies
the autumn moon is so close now, so much a part of our paths
keeping our feet secure as we determine a direction
it's the uncertainty of winter that gives me
a soft murmur, resting in the pit of my soul
I will do my best to enjoy the harvest that fast approaches.
